Paper Jewelry Tutorial - Part 1

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry, I haven't written anything in at least a week! I have been busy with school and in my spare time making art seemed more important than writing about it. I'll post some of the things I've made tomorrow but today I'm finally posting the Paper Jewelry Tutorial I promised!

As you can see this tutorial is made up out of three parts; a bracelet, a necklace and earrings. I'll be starting with the bracelet and I'll post the rest later this week or next week. Lets get started!

Step 1. (square? I mean rectangle of course!)

Step 2.

Step 3.

Step 4.

Step 6.

And that's it!

The leftovers (the part you cut off at step 4) can be used to make a ring as well. I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I'd love to see what you've made! Please leave a comment,
Quinn

PS I've noticed some grammar mistakes in my tutorial, I'm really sorry! If I have some time left I'll change it!

Grow Some Love

Today I had quite a busy day at school and I tend to get very stressed when that happens. The best way to help me get calm and relaxed is painting or drawing. And it might be a bit late (summer’s coming up!) but Spring was my inspiration.

I used an old French-Dutch dictionary I bought second hand a couple weeks ago. I’ve been planning to use it but today I finally got to. I simply glued seperate sheets on some paper and started painting flowers (roses maybe, or tulips, I don’t know). Around the edges I added some words that remind me of spring. I call it "Grow Some Love".

Grow Some Love

I’m pretty pleased with the end result and I’m feeling all Zen again. I’d love to hear what you think of it!

Paper earrings (tutorial coming soon)

I’m a big fan of earrings and I got my ears pierced 2 years ago. The only problem is that I’m a little afraid of those big, heavy ones. For some reason I keep thinking they’ll tear my ears apart (I don’t even know why I go there).

But these pretty, paper earrings will definitely be the solution for me. They look very cute and kind of cartoony (not sure if that’s a word) and they’re very easy to make.

For now I’ll just show you the pictures but a tutorial (also including necklaces and bracelets) will be coming up soon.

From The Raw Industries

True art comes from the inside

Since I’m not very good at talking about myself I’ll let pictures do most of the talking for me. But because this is my very first post I’ll try to introduce myself. My name is Quinn and I’m a 14 year old Dutch girl. English isn’t my first language so please forgive me if I make any grammar mistakes.
I really (really, really) love art and anything that has to do with it. I try to paint, draw, craft or crochet every single day and I’d like to share it with you.

I would also love for you to leave a comment and I hope you’ll come take a look another time.
